The 1998 Glenrothes Vintage will have greater longevity than some of the previous years. It is also the first to have the signature of Gordon Motion on the label, who took over as "Malt Master" after John Ramsay's recent retirement. The comparatively young Glenrothes 1998 has a nose of spicy vanilla, golden syrup and green lemon. The palate is very smooth and sweet, with vanilla cream and hints of cinnamon.
