Description

A 109-year-old old vineyard with around 30 indigenous Douro grape varieties. The grapes were duly selected and partially destemmed and fermented in a press with foot treading for 10 days. Ageing and malolactic fermentation took place in neutral French oak barrels for 22 months. Aromas of spices, forest fruits and graphite provide very sophisticated and complex notes. Pure flavours of cherry, raspberry and mineral notes predominate on the palate. This wine is extremely vibrant, with good tension in the mouth, balanced acidity and a persistent finish.
