The 2005 year had a high production where the grape berries were quite small, allowing a great concentration of flavours, colours and tannins. The Niepoort Vintage 2005 is a wine with earthy aromas as well as lovely nuances of coffee, blueberries and blackberries, provided by the grapes of the Pisca vineyard as well as light and fresh notes of eucalyptus. It is an excellent wine to pair wih Serra da Estrela cheese or Stilton cheese.
