Quinta de Santa Eufémia House
RESPECT FOT ANCIENT TRADITION
Quinta de Santa Eufémia is situated on the south bank of the Douro River , with 45 hectares of vineyards. The wine making is done in granite mills, trampled by men in the traditional way, with its aging done in oak casks.
The founder of Quinta de Santa Eufémia, goes by the name of Bernardo Rodrigues de Carvalho and it was a historical patriarch of a Douro family. Due to his passion for Port wine in 1864 he founded the Quinta de Santa Eufemia that according to its geographical location and weather conditions produces high quality grapes.
The farm is still a business and at the same time a passion for the family. Now, on its fourth generation, the descendants maintain a respect for ancient traditions and knowledge of Port wine making and aging.
