Krohn was founded in 1865 by two young Norwegians, Theodor Wiese
and Dankert Krohn. Over the next century and a half the company
built up a remarkable reputation thanks to its Ports
particularly its Colheita Ports. Krohn is
also known for its elegantly made Vintage Ports,
from its estate in the Rio Torto valley, Quinta do
Retiro Novo.
