In the 2008 year the income was quite low and with moderate temperatures during the summer and the harvest. As the result, it were produced very concentrated and fresh grapes. Ramos Pinto LBV is a almost opaque red colour wine with bluish nuances. It presents intense fruity aromas of ripe fruit like grapes and figs and few chocolate and anise hints.

On the palate is a full bodied Port Wine, elegant and soft,with ripe fruit flavours and balanced tannins, providing a long and persistent aftertaste. A Port that was not filtered when it was bottled and produced from grape varieties of Sousão, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. Ramos Pinto LBV can pair meat dishes and Serra da Estrela cheese or other fattier cheeses, being also an excellent choice to serve with chocolate desserts. The bottle should be stored in a dry, cool and dark space in order remain the Port Wine qualities.
