Ageing: A wine from selected batches of the best years that aged an average of 30 years in wooden casks. Vinification: A velvety and elegant style acquired for the natural aging conditions of Taylor’s. I is one of the few existing houses to produce a 30 Year Old Tawny Port. Red Port wines are produced in this area of the Douro region and are aged in oak casks in the Taylor’s cellars at Vila Nova de Gaia. In the city of Gaia, the cool and humid climate allows a soft and slow aging process, producing scents of great complexity and delicacy. Only every two or three years are produced a reserve of Port with enough structure, fruit and vigor to be able to age for a very long time.
