A warm spring provided the early appearance of the vine buds and in mid-April the vines have had a good growth. The early Summer and the August mounth showed very high temperatures. The Quinta de Vargellas harvest took place a week later than the other farms of the region and therefor, the grapes revealded high sugar concentration. Taylor’s 1995 Vintage Vargellas is a Port wine with a deep ruby colour and brick nuances. Is a mature and tempting Port with notes of exotic herbs and flowers.
On the palate presents a fruity flavour and hints of chocolate, plums and licorice, providing a long and persistent aftertaste. This Port must be open about to 2 hours before serving and is indicated to decant it before. Ideal to accompany Stilton or Gorgonzola Cheese or to enjoy after a meal.
