After the successful launch of the first in the series, the 1964 Single Harvest Port, Taylor's launches a limited amount of a 50 year old harvest, the 1965 Single Harvest, a fine and elegant Port wine. It features a seductive auburn colour with amber tones. In the nose, it stands out aromas of hazelnut and marzipan, combined with delicate notes of wood and soft aromas of quince paste, black pepper and cinnamon. On the palate, it is round and with a silky-smooth texture and slight spicy flavours, providing a long and refreshing finish.
Taylor’s owns one of the largest reserves of Port Wines aged in oak casks, in which it stands out the collection of rare Harvests. Port wines from a single year and a single harvest, which reach maturity in old wooden casks. The wines of a single year are considered velvety, complex and simply irresistible since they have aged until they reach full maturity and as so, are ready to be enjoyed after being bottled.

Croft 2009 Vintage Port
This Vintage Port was created in 2009, which will be remembered as a year of low yields, due, in part, to the small amount of fruit and the effects of a very dry ripening season.
The ripening season started with relatively cold weather that remained so until July.
However, August was intensely hot.
An early harvest granted wines a good acid balance and avoided over-ripening.
