Sandeman Ruby is a vibrant red ruby wine, with a fresh and fruity aroma, where it stands out the delicate notes of strawberry, plum and raspberry.
On the palate, it is also a very fresh, balanced and rich Port, marked also by the presence of ripe fruits like plum and red fruits.
Enjoy your Sandeman Ruby with intense, creamy cheeses or with chocolate desserts or fruit tart desserts for finishing a perfect meal.
This Ruby is produced according to the traditional Port wine method. There are handpicked the best grapes, which are then gently crushed. During the fermentation process, the stomped grapes are macerated and it is added a neutral grape spirit, known as aguardente , which attributes the necessary balance between the wine’s body and aroma.
The wine remains in Douro and is then shipped to Sandeman wine cellars at Vila Nova de Gaia, the indicated place for the aging process, where the wine is placed in oak barrels. After being tested and analyzed, the best batches between the ages of 2 and 5 years are selected, being combined to create the final batch of a fresh and young wine.
Croft 2009 Vintage Port
This Vintage Port was created in 2009, which will be remembered as a year of low yields, due, in part, to the small amount of fruit and the effects of a very dry ripening season.
The ripening season started with relatively cold weather that remained so until July.
However, August was intensely hot.
An early harvest granted wines a good acid balance and avoided over-ripening.
Warre’s Vintage 2007 is a Port where each component of the batches ages for 18 months in oak barrels. The wine is bottled in May of 2009, without any filtration or clarification. In a special edition of 6Lt you can now complete your wine cellar with this amazing Vintage
Fonseca Quinta do Panascal 1998 Vintage Port has a fruity flavour and is a very fragrant wine.
Medium-bodied wine, very well structured and that is ready to be savoured.
