Harvest Port Wines are produced on the basis of wine batches from a single harvest, where each harvest is distinct from year to year. The Harvest Ports from Quinta do Noval are very rare and produced in small quantities, not being valued as they should be. Quinta do Noval Harvest 1964 is a Port of a very intense amber colour and brownish nuances, with aromas of dried fruits, caramel and molasses.
On the palate is a smooth and yet full-bodied Port, with flavours of dried fruits and caramel, providing a long, enveloping and persistent finish. Produced from the grapes varieties of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão and Sousão. The Quinta do Noval Harvest 1964 is an excellent Port to serve as an appetizer before a meal or to pair with creamy cheeses at the end of the same. Winemaker: Antonio Agrellos
Croft 2009 Vintage Port
This Vintage Port was created in 2009, which will be remembered as a year of low yields, due, in part, to the small amount of fruit and the effects of a very dry ripening season.
The ripening season started with relatively cold weather that remained so until July.
However, August was intensely hot.
An early harvest granted wines a good acid balance and avoided over-ripening.
Dow's Senhora da Ribeira Vintage Magnum 1998 is a Port Wine that reunites all the characteristics of a classic Vintage Dow's, absolutely black, with a slight ruby edge. In the nose is possible to feel the delicated floral notes of violets and roses, as some hints of black fruit and cocoa. Powerful, elegant and fruity tannins that provide an outstanding balance and magnificient harmony. With a bottle of 1,5Lt it is possible to taste this wine in a special event, like your birthday.
