This Croft Vintage Port produced in the year of 2009 will be remembered as a year of low incomes, owing in part to the small amount of fruit, but also to the effects of a very dry ripening season. The ripening season began with a relatively cold weather and so remained until July. However, August turned being a month with intense heat. An early vintage wine with a good and well balance acid.
Croft Vintage 2009 Port, has a deep black colour and is a very aromatic and engaging wine. It is also an excellent choice to serve after a meal, in the company of good old friends. Aged 24 months in oak casks, then ages in bottle for several years.
A quite soft Vintage Port with a black colour, raspberries and plums aromas, a second, youthful Fonsecas wine that can be more appreciable if drunk until 2020.
