With a very opaque, almost black color, Cockburn’s 2017 Vintage Port reveals an extremely complex aroma, with evidence for rock-rose, red fruit notes and some minerality. On the palate reveals an intense and fruity notes with spicy tannins.
Its complexity, balance and structure result in a persistent ending.
2017 will be remembered as one of the hottest and driest years at Douro. The low yields resulted in very concentrated and well-structured wines of incredible intensity. Also noteworthy is the well-ripened fruit that provide impressive freshness and vitality to the wines.
Cockburn Vintage 2017 has in its composition the usual component of Touriga Nacional, but the proportion of Touriga Franca, due to its excellent performance, has been increased over the previous Vintage Port from Cockburn’s.

This Port is fragrant and possesses wild black fruit aroma and an exotic touch.

It is full-bodied, magnificent and majestic on the mouth, with a better definition and approach than ancient Port wine. Blackberry and blueberry flavours provide a mineral sense that crosses at the finish, with an imperceptible alcohol.
