Poças Vintage 1996 Port is only produced in special years. It possesses a dark ruby color, with an aroma of gooseberries, currant, blackberry and plum. The taste is characterised by the mix of ripe fruits and a soft and elegant touch. It‘s an perfect drink to serve with cheese(stilton and roquefort) and dark chocolat.

Poças Vintage 1996 Port is made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca,Tinta Roriz, Tinta Cão e Tinta Barroca grape varieties. The grapes are harvested by hand, and then they are transported in 30 kg trays. The ripening of the wine happens in the wooden vats. The aging occurred in the oak barrels. This wine was bottled without any type of filtration between the 2nd and the 3rd year after the harvest.
