Graham’s 2017 Vintage Port Wine
Since the 19th century, this is the first time that the Graham’s House has declared two exceptional Vintage years in two consecutive years.
Deep purple in color and with a high viscosity that reflects great concentration, Graham’s 2017 Vintage Port reveals incredible aromas of blackberry, black plum and bergamot. In the mouth it presents layers of black fruits, punctuated by fresh notes of apricot.
Exceptional and sumptuous, it’s a Vintage that provides an incredibly long lasting ending.

The year of 2017 revealed very atypical weather conditions. This particular year was exceptionally warm and dry, with 42% less rainfall in Quinta dos Malvedos than the 30-year average. However, the drought-resistant varieties of the Douro were well prepared to cope with water shortages.
A surprising thing in 2017 was the early ripening of Touriga Franca, usually the last variety to be harvested, which entered the winery almost three weeks earlier than usual. Touriga Franca’s quality was so good that Charles increased his proportion in the final blend of the 2017 Port.
The end result is an exceptional Vintage. Awards and Distinctions: James Suckling, 2019 – 97 points / Wine Magazine – 18.5 points out of 20 / Decanter – 98 Points / Great Picks – 19.5 points out of 20
