Dow’s Vintage 2016 Port Wine

Dow’s Vintage Port wines are made from the best grape varieties from Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira. Each property contributes to Dow’s unique and distinctive style. When young, Dow’s Vintage Ports are purple, complex and intensely concentrated, full-bodied and balanced, with very fine and spicy tannins. However, over the years Dow’s winemakers have developed a style that combines with the Dow’s grapes varieties of each Quinta: the fermentations are a little longer, resulting in a drier Port Wine, which has become Dow’s trademark. The very high percentage of Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional planted at the vineyards results in the powerful structure and aging potential of Dow’s Vintage Ports.
