This wine was meant to be a Vintage Port wine but when it was bottled, and for lack of orders, the wine was stored in the barrel longer than it was planned. This wine ages in wood for about 4 to 6 years after the harvest. As a result of this long-lasting ageing in wood, Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) are more full-bodied than Vintage Port wines.
Dalva LBV 2008 is a wine chosen by many because it is considered a good quality/price option that can be drinked immediately without requiring decanting it.
