Dalva Tawny 40 Years aged in wood during several years in which, the age mentioned in the bottle is equivalent to a ‘ blend ‘ of several «Harvest» Port Wines. As this wine aged for many years in wood, it will present a golden colour with greenish shades that will evolve until it reach a very complex «bouquet», enhancing its aromas of dried fruits, wood and spices.

This Tawny has an amber colour, with deep and complex aromas like tobacco, candied fruit, British fruit cake and hazelnuts. It is engaging, unctuous and presents a fresh acidity, providing an elegant aftertaste. Storage this Dalva Tawny 40 Years in a cool, dark place in an upright position. It can be kept for a dozen years without losing its freshness. Drinking it at slightly cool temperature (12 to 13°C) and pair it with egg-based desserts like puddings or dried fruits (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, …). Winemaker: José Manuel Sousa Soares.
