Cockburn’s Vintage 2015 Port
Cockburn’s declared 2015 as a Vintage year, launching a magnificent Port Wine that simultaneously marks the bicentenary of the brand, which was founded in 1815.
This is only the second Vintage released by Cockburn’s, therefore, succeeding the Vintage of 2011.
Since the brand was acquired by the Symington family, several renovations and investments have been made in order to recover the brand’s reputation, which was once considered as one of the main ones in the Douro.
Cockburn’s Vintage 2015 reveals incredible aromas of black fruit like plums and delicate notes of eucalyptus. On the palate, it stands out soft flavours of red cherries. This is a Port of great vitality and with great concentration of fruit, well-structured and full bodied.

Cockburn’s Vintage 2015, comes from a batch where it predominates the grape variety of Touriga Franca from Quinta dos Canais and Quinta do Vale Coelho, some grapes of Touriga Nacional and also a small percentage of Sousão and Alicante Bouschet, which resulted in a elegant and balanced Vintage.
Since the year of 2015 was very dry, the production was limited to 3,500 bottles of 75 cl, 660 bottles “magnum”, 99 bottles “double magnum” and 50 “imperial”.
